Has anyone used the Skybeacon for ABS-B out?

If so, could I get a copy of the 337?

I just purchased one.

Doesn't it come with an STC? If so, the 337 is a no-brainer. The STC is approved data, so all you have to do is document the fact that it was installed IAW the STC. Done.

FAA issued a "clarification"...best I recall it was in early (March?) 2016 & it reads (in their typical 1000 words or more) that ADS-B Out equipment which meets all of their certification hoops can be installed in certified aircraft that are not on the manufacturer's initial "STC list". This should be readily available to the IA. This is what we referenced on a 337 when installing the Garmin GDL82 which was then only "approved"/STC'd for Mooneys. It was not a problem. Since the SkyBeacon now meets all of the same requirements, the paperwork should be as simple as the 3-screw installation :D . Mac

I already have Whelen wing tip strobes, so I'm waiting for the tailBeacan certification. Should be soon according to uAvionix. Expected 1Q 2019. Two screws, one power wire......couldn't be any easier.

Also waiting on the tail light variant. Unfortunately I think this gov shutdown is slowing their certification.

I'm afraid you are right in that. Fortunately, the tailBeacon is a quick installation by any A&P. No waiting in line for an avionics shop appointment.

I'm anxious to hear/read results of the first flight check report after an installation on one of "our" planes. With shipments having now been happening for a few weeks (...I understand that Spruce and other major sellers are totally back ordered) there's gotta be some making their way to some 120/140 wingtips?
