So..........last week was 2000 nautical miles to Fredricksburg and back in the 120. This week is a few more miles in the company Jet (Honda Jet) to Los Angeles. We stopped in Page Arizona for fuel.
A few pictures
1. Short final coming in from the north over the Colorado River, "Horse shoe bend" X 2. Landing to the south. Rwy 16(still runway 15 on the charts....but marked runway 16 on the runway??)
2. Two pics from the Ramp.
If you ever find your self at Page Arizona, you owe it to your self to go to the airport or another high out look at Sunset and take a view to the east. Stunning. Sorta like Sedona Arizona(another must see)........once again, go to the Airport in Sedona and watch the mountains change at Sunset!
Lastly take a look at the three pictures on the Main website page. Tom Reneau's Lindy Award winner is front and center. Beyond Beautiful! It won best "Original 140A" at the convention.
A thank you to Rob our Webmaster for posting the pictures.

Beautiful! I grew up in Prescott, AZ. Lots of breathtaking scenery.
Another neat airport is Grand Canyon. If the tower extends your downwind (for a south landing) your base leg might be out over the Canyon. Talk about exhilirating!

Thanks, I would not have known about Grand Canyon.
I've flown in and out of Sedona, pretty much like taking off and landing on an Aircraft carrier......well.....sort of....
I know I need to go back to AZ.
There's probably more "scenic" airports in AZ?

Payson (KPAN) is a pretty airport to fly into. They have a great little restaurant on a small hill looking out over the ramp and runway, with picture window views of the Mogollon Rim in the distance. It's a favorite breakfast hop for Phoenix area pilots.
