Log Book Entry for Tailbeacon

Post by 6277 »

My tailbeacon checked out with approach control. Filling out the 337 is easy using the example supplied by the vendor. How detailed should the log book entry be? Thanks.

This is sufficient:
"Date, Airframe TT (or Tach time)
Installed Tailbeacon. See 377 dated mm/dd/yyyy.

A&P's signature, certificate number."

The 337 has all the setup details that are configured in the app, but I would put the WiFi password in the logbook entry, not something you want to be in the public domain, but a good place to store it.

Good point. I guess you don't want anyone hacking your tailbeacon! ;)

Then, there are all those old 337s out there with our social security numbers on them...
