I understand what you’re saying Victor. My previous O200 had a sweet spot at about 2450 and did well at that engine speed. The new engine seems happy at whatever engine speed I ask of it. Maybe that’s why I asked the question.

My Mooney really likes about 2500 at any MP you want to give it, but doesn’t feel happy at a lower or higher RPM.

Your Mooney and My Mooney were related. 2500 RPM was the smooth setting, anything lower was noticeably rougher.........higher was ok...........but why?

Thanks for the comments. My 85, also seems to have a sweet spot. I've felt the
same about 'a smooth running engine is a happy engine'.

I cruise at 2550 at 5000 ft and under and 2650 over 5000 fuel is between 23-25 lts
per hour
