New Buyer

Post by twaircraft4 »

Hello all!

I am new to the forum but was encouraged to join and learn from the newbies and experts. A little info about myself and my friend...I am the owner of a Repair Station for Magnetos and My friend Steve is the owner of an FBO that predominately works on Cirrus/ Diamond Aircraft and an A&P / IA, but we're always learning and don't know much about this aircraft type. We should have had our PPL's years ago, but I guess it's never too late. So here we are looking at a 1946 C140, C85 w/ 950hrs. Listed for 45,500. We are looking to use this for both of us and our sons who are 17. Any advice on what we should look for in particular? Thanks in advance for your help and consideration of this subject.

I would start with the Tech Talk by Victor Grahn, Pre-buy inspections, in our 2023 Winter Newsletter - Issue 429. You can find in on the website under Resources / Newsletters.
