Northern Illinois Fly-In October 18th

Post by 6930 »

Folks,

Jeff Tourt and I are planning a Fly-In Breakfast in October. Details as follows:

Date: Saturday, October 18th (weather date Sunday October 19th)
Where: Woodlake Landing (IS65), Sandwich Illinois
Breakfast is planned from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Hangar flying from dawn to whenever!

Woodlake Landing is a private airpark located 40 NM southwest of O'Hare. There are two runways; 08-26 asphalt, 2,988' (preferred) and 18-36 grass, 1,750' (obstacles each end). Aircraft parking will be on the grass area adjacent to the south side of 08-26. Unicom 122.8 and the closest ATIS is 125.85 at KARR. Festivities will be held at Jeff's hangar about mid-field adjacent to the grass parking area.

There are limited FBO facilities, but fuel will be available.

Fall colors should be excellent that weekend. If you are looking for an excuse to get out and enjoy, this is it! We hope to see you there!
