Scott 3200 Overhaul and Leaf Spring Replacement
I’ve got a C140 with a Scott 3200. Looking to overhaul the 3200. Saw that Alaska Gear Co has a rebuild kit but looking for suggestions. I also need to replace my leaf spring as it is worn and sagging. My s/n is 9487 so it seems the single bend would be the way to go. Is univair the best place to buy the lead spring and associated hardware? Thanks!

Re: Scott 3200 Overhaul and Leaf Spring Replacement
Univair is fine, where I get my stuff. The $369 overhaul kit from Alaska sure has a lot of stuff.
That said you may want to inventory what actually needs to be replaced on your 3200. Offhand probably at least the compression coil springs, and the thrust plate assembly (the pins get wobbly).
Things I had to address in the past...
Worn grooves where the 3222-00 flat spring hits the Arm assembly (made new longer spring, dress indents on Arm assembly)
Replace 3257-00 pin
Replace 13286-00 bearing
Single bend spring set as per serial number is correct. Make sure the Bracket Assembly angle is correct.
