I have an excellent pair of gear legs for sale. They were on my 170A until recently. From my understanding the only difference between 140 and 170 legs are that 140 legs have a hole or two drilled in them. They probably would have been fine on my 170 but I wanted to be sure so I located a pair that do not have holes and installed them. I can also make them look beautiful (a lot of work) by sanding the paint (not the actual gear leg), applying Rustoleum rattle can hi-build primer, then paint, then clear. I did it with my 170 legs and they look awesome.
I paid more for the 170 legs then I am asking for these 140 legs - $1100 for the pair or $2000 finished. Plus shipping.

P.S. Yes I am a new member. I am hoping posting these on this forum is the best place to get the word out. I guess I will get them on Barnstormers too. I just want these legs to go to someone who can use them and keep their bird flying! You can check me out on the 170 Association website. I am "AWilson" over there too.

That would help determine if they are early 'straight legs' or later 'swept legs', plus what axles to install.

I appreciate your info. They are early straight legs. But I sold them! Guess I got lucky to find someone so fast. And someone in Florida who is assembling a Texas Taildragger got a nice set of legs!
