WTB core for Marvel Schebler 10-4240 or 10-4240-1

Post by 7547 »

Greetings -

My Stromberg carburetor is no longer serviceable so I am looking to switch the Marvel Schebler. However, I would like to reduce the cost by finding a used up core to exchange. If anyone has one to sell, please contact me. Looking for a 10-4240 or 10-4240-1.

Thank you!

Matt,

When I had my engine overhauled by G&N in Griffith, IN they took my Stromberg carb in for the core on swicthing to the Marvel.
They have the STC and can set the carb up for installation.
You will be adding three 337s when you do the paperwork. One for the carb itself, one for the airframe, and one for the engine.
You might give them a call. Talk to Jim at 219-924-7110.
Good luck.

I believe David Lowe has an STC to use a modified carb off of an O-200. You might want to look into that.

Personally, I'm a Stromberg bigot and wouldn't give mine up for a free Marvel Schebler.
