Looking for C85 oil sump

Post by 7928 »

Oil sump seems to be leaking again on my 1947 C140 C85 engine. It has been welded twice already during its life. I'm thinking about replacing it. Is this part still available from OEM? I can't find it on any spare parts dealer website. Any idea where to find one available? Thanks for you help.

Is it cracked?
Or is it leaking at the gasket?

I have a tank from an O200 (6 quarts) that is nearly perfect. No cracks or repairs. One small dent near where the fill neck joins the tank. The 6 quart tanks have reinforcements between the tank and the mounting flange and are much less prone to cracking. (The braces are a good addition to the 5 quart version, too.) Make me a reasonable offer by private message if you're interested.
