Oil Temperature Adapter Nut

Post by 6830 »

WTB: Oil Temperature Adapter Nut for square flange Scott sensor. My Continental 90-14 has no adapter right now. I can't find a source for a new adapter. Does anyone have a used one they could part with? My sensor bulb has the old style flat/square style flange that requires a specific adapter.

I may have one for you. Will check my hangar to see what I can come up with.

If Barrett doesn’t have one, Spruce or Univair May be of help.

There are at least 3 different nuts, and to the untrained eye, they are "the same". Unfortunately, you have to have the right one or you will ruin the sender.

I have the one I think you need, but I also still have the gauge that goes with it. The gauge leaks a little from being installed into the wrong nut at one point. If you really get stuck, let me know.

Meanwhile, read this article to ensure you have the right combination.
