WTB Aileron bushings

Post by bill y »

Looking for the aileron bushings for the project 120 I am working on. It was purchased as a disassembled basket case and 2 of those were missing.
Curious to know if any type of bushing the same size would work or if they are hardened. Again it's for the aileron brackets to pivot on once they are re-installed.
Thanks in advance!

Are you taking about the sleeve that fits inside the needle bearing for the aileron hinge? If so, I haven't found an off the shelf replacement. The problem is they're about .050 longer than the industrial part.

They form the inner race of the needle bearing and are hardened and plated. PN 0422215. MacFarlane has a PMA replacement for $38.41 each.

Yes that is exactly what I am referring to. I am on Mcfarlane site and they show a rudder bushing. I wonder if its the same part number. I'll search my 120 parts manual....

The same part is used in each aileron and elevator. It is not the same as the rudder, which uses bushings, not bearings. Just enter the part number (0422215) into their search box.
