Oil pressure at takeoff power on c90-12f engine

Post by 8466 »

I have a c90 -12f engine in my cessna 140. At takeoff on a 65F day the pressure at 2500 rpm was just a little over red line 45 psi. Should I be concerned or should I have my A & P check it out?

The oil pressure range is 30-60 PSI.

I have the same engine, I always read high even when my temps are up to 200F. At idle 45 at 2200 55ish.
Not sure if that helps.

I have a C90-12F in mine. The limits are 30-60, except for idle. However my oil pressure seems to run low. with a 180 oil temp the psi is about 31-32 in cruise. When the RPM is reduces below cruise (2400r rpm the PSI get lower. Thats measured with a EI CGR-30P, Although it is in limits it seems a bit low. Is there any way to turn it up. Maybe a pressure relief valve spring adjustment.
Engine has about 50 Hr on it SMOH. Case was replaced due to un-reparable crack at the #2 main bearing journal in the case.

Is your gage accurate? If so, send me an email or PM.
