It does not look AD 47-06-02 applies to this airplane.

I did find reference to flush rivets in AD 47-26-02. That is also about the nose ribs and additional rivets.

As far as the rib bracing tape, I do not think Cessna originally installed it, I think it was added by recoverers over the years.

Is it really needed? Probably not.

Does it hurt to install it? Probably not. Just not original if you do.

Thanks for all the help,

Rick

Again, I tried to submit some relevant detailed info and historical perspctive but it failed to go thru and was lost!

Succinctly, Rick did you check AD48-25-03 and include the required inspection holes for the future required 100 inspections?
The recovery does not give relief as a terminating action for this AD.

Thanks Edd.

The inspection holes were there and I will be reinstalling them when I do the recover.
I have copies of Cessna service letters 27 and 39 which are mentioned in the AD.

All of the drag brace wires are in good shape and tight.
Some surface corrosion that I will clean up and repaint.

Even though it had been 45 years since the last recover job the inside of the wing looks pretty good.
