What is gross, 1450 or 1556?

Post by 8475 »

What is the gross weight of the 140? The POH states 1450 for landplane, 1556 for seaplane. Can I get an STC to increase my landplane gross to 1556? Same darned airplane, right?

The floats are an airfoil and provide lift, which unloads the structure. Without that you cannot increase the weight.
