Shipping Container

Post by 8383 »

Does anyone have any experience of transporting a 140 in a shipping container. I'm looking for advice regarding the best way to pack the aircraft so I can bring my 140 back to the UK.

...no direct experience, but I'm aware of an aircraft shipping specialist out of Lakeland, FL (KLAL) that does disassembly, packing & shipping. Neel Aviation -- their email is: neelaviat@aol.com & phone is (863) 944-6586. They shipped an RV for a neighbor to Norway a while back & I heard no complaints. Mac

I can second Mac,s information. Brad Neel is well versed in international shipping and has, in fact shipped at least one 140 to Australia.
He is a great guy and a pleasure to talk with.
