800-6 Tires

Post by 7263 »

I did a search before asking this question.

Are 800-6 tires legal on our planes without a 337, or what is the biggest legal tire.

Simple answer: Yes.

The answers to these and other pressing questions can be found in the Aircraft Specification, A-768. If it's listed there than it is not even considered a modification. All you need to do is log the installation.

I love my 800s... though its all ive ever known... As I learned to land her, i am new to TW, it wasnt as bounce prone as i expected from all i had heard... I talked to the guy who had her before me and put em on, he said it really made her more gentle on landing...

Thanks for the information on the Aircraft Specification, A-768, didn't think to look there.
