Thanks for the picture! First time I have been able to visualize how the pins work!

Very nice. Do you recall the size and specs for the hardware?

Looks like MS35265 fillister head screws. Can't tell you what the dash number would be, though. Screws with 1/4" shanks have 1/16" drilled holes (for safety wire.) 3/16" screws are drilled .046. Half inch shank length would be -79 for the larger screws and -63 for the smaller ones. Add one to increase the length about 1/8", subtract one to shorten by about 1/16".

Heck, I guess I'll just attach the spec and leave it as an exercise for the student...

What John C said is what was used I just drilled out the Fillister head screw to fit the pin. Very easy mod removed the rivets on each side and used those holes. Keep in mind though it’s best your latches do work good and I only did this for just incase. That being said I once did not seat the top part of the latch properly and it looked fine and flush, but after the flight that bottom part of the latch was kept from fully opening by that pin. With that size of pin it is easy to remove them wearing gloves and if you drop them they are easy to find. Anyway that’s what works for me.
