Looking in the Cessna 140 parts book , the 4 bolts that mount the engine mount to the airframe are NAS145-15 does anyone know what that translates to in the AN type bolt or is it just added stuff to an AN bolt. or are they difficult to get. Also the rear upper wing strut bolt is 0422297, in the Cessna parts book does that translate to a AN number or what is special about that. Where to find one ?. Thanks in advance.

The NAS bolts are socket head bolts. There is no AN equivalent. They have been superseded by MS bolts. NAS145-15 supersedes to MS20005-6.

I ended up ordering NAS145-15 from Univair
If you can find a reputable seller that sells MS20005-6 that is the "modern" equivalent.

Neither ACS nor Univair have that exact part. (the -6). Try Fastener Dimensions Inc in New Jersey. You'll have to call them, but my sources show they have 110 in stock. https://www.fastenerdimensions.com/

A lot of the places I used to buy from are not around any longer, and that length seems to be an odd one. Both ACS and Univair have the -5 bolts, but not -6

[Edit] If ACS or Univair are selling NAS145-15 then there's no difference. It's not "new and improved" it's just a different number system. They may list the old number because that's what the old parts catalogs are listing.

Preferred Airparts shows 1600+ NAS 145-15 in stock.

Call around. Univair's price is a little spendy...
