PMA Fuel Selector Install in 140A

Post by 5060 »

Has anyone installed the PMA Sierra Hotel Aero -140A Fuel selector in a 140A?
Following the issues trying to repair the original valve, owner decided to go with the new selector. Any experiences, and fittings used to make it fit the aircraft would be appreciated.

From their website, looks like some tube bending so not a drop in replacement, see Left-Right-both-Off pic

Installed in our 48 140 in 2010 pretty straight forward , definitely a big improvement.

Am I correct that the Sierra Hotel fuel selector doesn't need a field approval since it's PMA and is not a minor or major modification of the fuel system?

Correct. A PMA approved replacement part can be installed with a log book entry.
