Scott 3200 maintenance manual?

Post by 8413 »

I would like to know if there is any official maintenance manual for the Scott 3200 or ABI3200 available? All I can find online is part diagrams, installation instructions and videos of maintenance. I like the videos but many leave out what I would consider critical info like there is not supposed to be grease on the fiber thrust washer (ABI-3207-00). I wonder what else I'm missing.

Josh,

Check this Youtube Video about Scott 3200 maintenance. Steve Johnson has several in a series on the Scott 3200/Alaskan Bushwheel series that are pretty good.

Thank you Mike...I did see Steve's videos. They are great.

Part of the reason for my post is I'm wondering what document my mechanic would reference when logging tailwheel disassembly, inspection and re-assembly? At this point it looks like there might not be anything for him to reference for the log entry.

Josh,

I would use the airframe logbook to detail any maintenance work performed on the tail wheel assembly.
