Post by edidin »

Anyone know where one can get new ones of the dual roller/spring catch fitted to the strut of a 120 to hold the door open?

Try Home Depot. That's off a 1950's vintage kitchen cabinet door.

That will no doubt work, but the proper part is a strap that fits around the strut. The strap has "stud" on the end that pokes into an opening on the bottom of the door. Inside the hole is a friction catch that captures the stud. Check page 20 of the parts manual.

Thanks to both. After posted realized had seen as a kid on our old 1950s steel kitchen cabinets. Stock is the opposite apparently - catch through a hole in the door.

I have a bucket full of the catches. Free if you pay postage and handling ;) The strap is easy enough to make.

I could use a pair of those door catches if they are not going to be used! Both of mine are worn out.
