The operating handbook says to set rudder travel limits by shimming the stops on the aft bulkhead. I can't find these. Can anyone tell me where these are located? Post a pic?
Thanks in advance.

Re: rudder travel stops?
There should be two AN3 bolts on either side of the tail bulkhead. Add washers under the bolts till you get the proper travel.

Ah, yes. Thank you. Not at my plane right now, but I believe that those are 2 of the 6 fasteners that also secure the vertical fin spar to the rear-most bulkhead of the fuse. Thanks so much.

Re: rudder travel stops?
Can anyone find these screws in the parts catalog? (I can't...)
I suspect they should be special stop screws, not standard AN bolts. The differences are, full length threading and no raised markings on the head.

Re: rudder travel stops?
IDK. The four I've looked at have AN bolts. The ref. manual (simply) reads: "...bolts which serve as stops". The parts catalogue (pg. 45, figure 23) shows and refers to an "AN3H-6A" if I'm reading correctly & which would have a drilled head(?). Again, all I'm seeing is a "standard" AN3 bolt (without a drilled head). ...interesting.

Ah ha! There they are, in with the tail spring. Yeah, what's the point of the drilled head?

Re: rudder travel stops?
The 140A parts manual shows an AN3-6A. figure 22, page 38 reference number 43, (Bolt - Adjust Rudder Travel)
Guess they figured out they didn't need the hole the head!

. Yep. ...can't help but picture some diligent technician trying to figure out where to connect the "other end" of the safety wire...from the drilled "hole in the head" to...?.

"Looks like we're out of AN3-6A bolts. Are we still using these AN3H bolts for anything?"
