I've searched with no luck... anyone have a field approval for the install of double puck brakes on a 140? Perhaps 199-62 kit?
Thanks!

Re: 30-52N Install (dbl puck)
Greg,
Question, do you have a set of Cleveland wheels and brakes with 30-52N brake assemblies already, and you want to install them on your Cessna 140? Typically 30-52 units are utilized on larger Cessna 180,185, and 206 series aircraft. Cessna 120/140/140 series converted to Cleveland units normally use the Cleveland 30-63A brake units with the 40-97A wheel assemblies. Cleveland 30-63A units have (2) two brake pads per caliper.
Just curious.
You can call Cleveland's customer service line at (800) 272-5464 and inquire. I've found the Cleveland folks to be very helpful.

Single pick brakes are powerful enough to stand the plane up on its nose. What more could you want?

The 30-52 is a double puck. The 30-52 is not on the Cleveland approved list for the 120/140's as far as I can see on their website. I know the big tire back country guys like double pucks. (EBay pic)

yeah, I could see it if you have huge tundra tires, but for anything on the aircraft specification, the single pucks are more than enough to get you in trouble!
