Cockpit Flap Control Parts

Post by vinceo »

Unless I am missing something the 120/140 parts manual offered on the Association
Resource page almost totally neglects detail diagram of cockpit flap control parts.
Very sparse.

You are correct. There are 2 different flap control handles, a twisty one I've never seen and a push button one that I have. There was a serial number change at 10070 for the cable from the flap handle to the torque tube belcrank, perhaps that's when the handle change occured. Someone more smarterer will chime in shortly...

Thank you. that did it!

i just bought my 140 last May 2024, on annual I opened the flap
control cover on floor and it was packed with dirt and lent etc.
from aeons of neglect. The trim wheel cover and assembly was
the same. Made me wonder about other things. Going thru it
inch by inch now!
