Inop oil temperature gauge

Post by 8319 »

I need to replace an inoperative oil temp gauge on my 1947 Cessna 120.
Everything I have found is either too big (2.25 inches) or too small (1.25 inches) for the hole in the panel.
If anyone has an idea about where I might find a 1.75 inch diameter gauge ( either mechanical or electrical) I would be most appreciative.
The existing gauge is mechanical and was originally made by Rochester Instruments.

I can see the front bevel being 2.25 inches, but I have used several brands and they all fit. I will look at several different ones I have to verify, and report back.

I just checked six of mine. One Stewart Warner, one Arrow, one Scott, and three un-labeled. All six measured 2 1/16 inches.

Aircraft Spruce sells the Rochester gauge, which is 2-1/16". I'm pretty sure it's also the direct decedent of the original.
