I was crawling around under my plane today admiring the oil leaks on my C-85 when I noticed that the slot between the front and back underside baffles is different. There are curved pieces that roll under the cylinder fins and direct the air around the cylinder. There is a gap between them where the air exits. What I noticed is that the gap is much larger on the rear cylinders than on the front. On the front theres barely and inch for the air to escape into the bottom side of the cowl.
The pictures show one of the back cyl and one of the front and the difference. The other picture shows the inter-cylinder piece and it looks like the curved leg on one side (the front) is longer than on the other (the back)
Is this right, Is the intercylinder piece installed backwards, or is something obviously mis-dimensioned? Or perhaps everyone else has this asymmettry??

Well after spending a few hours on the interwebs looking for pictures I found a reference that they do indeed have two different legs and the exploded parts drawing shows this if you look closely.
The long leg goes to the back, which is opposite to mine, and I am guessing this will result in a uniform gap width and more uniform cooling.
