So Jeff, are you telling me the reason I have not received a calendar is because I will need to buy one from the store if I want one?

John, you will receive a calendar as an active member. Here is some further explanation for you and any other members that have not yet received the calendar... The calendars are mailed using USPS "bulk mail". The problem is that there is really no guaranteed delivery time for bulk mail. Unfortunately a small percentage of our bulk mail is delayed well past what seems reasonable. I have seen bulk mail delivered as late as 60 days after mailing. Next year we plan to mail the calendars well in advance of January 1 to adjust for the bulk mail timing problem. Now, back to your message, we are preparing a second mailing for those that did not have correct addresses in their member profile. We will make sure a calendar is mailed to you, via first class mail. Please do let us know when the original bulk mailed calendar finally shows up. Thanks for your patience... Rob

Thank you Rob for the explanation. My address has not changed since I joined the Association so it should be the same as always.

I'm not sure what the pricing for "Bulk Mail" is, but maybe the Assn should look at "Media Mail" instead. It's a lot less than first class, and has been nearly as predictable for me. I think with Bulk mail the PO assumes zip code order, and if anything sticks together or is out of order it can get sent to the wrong corner of the globe.

OTOH, they seem to get those useless advertisements and political flyers out on time...
