For the coffee table discussion, saw this today in front of my hangar, guessing the split elevator has something to do with p-factor? Thought I'd post for the curious....

Interesting(!) for sure...had never noticed one, but you may be correct on the reason. Landing and taking off an airplane in/from the water does require some unique design & "rigging". Someone around here will know what that Lake "design" is for. I was flying today in what was forecast as "light & variable winds" and a couple of times the 140 felt like the elevator was "split" :shock: . Mac
