I am the new owner of a beautiful 1948 Cessna 140 based in Leesburg, FL.
and need some help finding a mechanic in my area. Any help would be appreciated. Rich Fried N3606V

First thing to try is to go to the main web site,
https://www.cessna120140.com, choose Resources-> Mechanics.
Meanwhile, I'm sure others will chime in with personal recommendations.

Welcome to the Assoc. Thinking we have good coverage in that area, hopefully someone will seek you out. We are close in aircraft NC3600V .
