Lightspeed headset with blue tooth

I acquired (spent mega $) for a new Lightspeed headset only to find it eats batteries very fast and when I fly with it in my 195, I have a terrible (!) squeal but not the same when I use it in the 120. Thoughts? I suspect the Lightspeed issue in the 195 is the airplane ignition system with the Jake so I’ll continue to use the Bose in the 195 and the Mega ($) Lightspeed headset in the 120. Oh; in my case, if I remove the battery holder of the Lightspeed headset, the batteries last longer suggesting the Bluetooth is “still active” and seeking a signal? Now, I’m just a pilot, but my ADM assessment is just that: a pilots perspective.

Comments please if you have a Lightspeed headset?

Hi,
Could you please indicate which Lightspeed model you purchased?

The only model I have heard eats batteries is the PFX. I have the Zulu 3 and have not had any problems with short battery life.

I'm not understanding what you mean by removing the battery holder makes the batteries last longer. On the Zulu 3, the battery holder/controller is not removable.

At any rate, Lightspeed stands behind their products. You might want to talk to them direct.
