2025 Values of Cessna 140/120/140A

I’m currently looking into renewal of my aircraft insurance, and one of the questions that the agent always asks is:

What hull value would you like to have?

I used to take a look at AOPA’s Vref material in order to get a good figure; however, that site is under construction presently, so I'm curious if someone out there has an average hull value for the 140/120 and 140A (I have a 140A)? Now before someone says take a look on publications like Barnstormers, Trade-A-Plane, or Controller let’s not go there, prices listed in those publications are asking prices not actual hull values. Anyone got any current figures? Thanks.

Good Question! I don't have any info, but I have regularly over the years kept bumping up the value of my aircraft judging by what people are asking for (and receiving) their aircraft when sold. Mid $30K for nice aircraft? Really nice ones have bumped into the $40K range. If you find anything, please let us know, really helpful info!

Depends on so many factors. A flying fairly ratty one seems to sill be worth around 30k today, up from maybe 20k five years ago. A nice one well sorted with modern avionics might push 60k.
