Thanks
Checking with my A&P now, he's worked in both OR and AZ.

Check the cognizant FSDO pages in the two states and you may find a listing of all the IAs in their data bases with all their contact info. I have done that in my FSDO and checked my name and also found a friends name who had dropped his IA some years ago. Only take a few minutes. FWIW PS start at FAA.gov

Wow! I missed that. I hope you find them, and that your purchase price reflected the fact they are missing...

There are 6 airmen called Kevin Stokes. Only one has a mechanic certificate, and he is located in Arizona. I've forwarded his address to you in a PM.

Also, go here and request a copy of the FAA records for your aircraft.

What do you guys recommend for registration and backlogs from the FAA. I will be hitting the 90 days in February. Do I need to start emailing now for an extension? Or wait until past 90 days?

Wait until it's close to 90 days then contact the FAA Registration Branch on the telephone not by email, and request an extension letter to your pending registration. Make notes of the individual's name you talk to in case you don't get the letter, and request that the FAA email you the letter. Make two copies of the letter, keep one with your aircraft records and put the other in the aircraft.

Thanks, I will do that. Seems crazy that they have the manpower to cash the check so fast, but can't type a simple document at the same time.
