"Planeport" hanger's

Post by sbmackie »

Hello,
I'm working on building some hangers at a local airport. Prepped land is available, long waiting list, etc. T hangers, maybe a box. In initial cost analysis phase. Got quotes on T's

Can't seem to find a builder of the plane port style. Covered roof over pad, open front and rear, some electric run and water. Anyone got a lead on a builder of said?

Thanks
Scott

The Port-A-Port (https://www.portaportparts.com/index.html) might be a possibility to consider? While totally enclosed (vs. open front/rear), they're basically pre-fab and more basic to erect than contractor scratch-built structures, plus they can be "nested" to take advantage of space. ...just a thought. Just got off then phone with Port a Port parts. Haven’t built hangers in 10 years. Part support only.

Thanks for the update! That's unfortunate -- they've proven a really good answer to much needed hangar space. Hopefully there'll be other practical options for your project. Mac
