Rudder pedal modification question

Post by 8455 »

I snapped a pic of a modified set of rudder pedals. Looks like a good idea to me, would seem to make it easier to stay "off" the brakes until needed!

They appear to be a well done mod, picking up the rivet lines, reinforcing flutes and even tabs on both sides (I'm guessing to keep feet centered on pedals?)

Do any of you recognize these? Were they a commercially available modification?

I think they may have been a factory option, I have them on the left side of my ‘48 140. Mine is a fairly late serial number 14863.

I've seen enough peddles modified similar or identical to yours. I don't know the history of them, but it "might" have been factory.

Due to minimal leg room, I always took those type of peddles out..............but if they work for you, keep them.
